Article: Workplace Wellbeing: Partners in love and business work it out

I was thrilled to have been interviewed and featured in Sharon Ní Chonchúir’s recent article for Irish Examiner titled “Workplace Wellbeing: Partners in love and business work it out”.

We delved into how a relationship can work well in both personal and professional contexts when there is a shared goal:

  1. A shared goal can lead to a deeper understanding of each other’s day-to-day lives.

  2. But too much time in each other’s company can also lead to less to discuss and potential boredom.

  3. It is key to find a balance between intimacy and independence.

Here are some quotes from the article:

“One of the keys to making a relationship work is having shared priorities and values.”

“A couple’s relationship can be strengthened by working together towards the same goal, which also gives them a deeper understanding of each other’s day-to-day lives”.

“While it’s great to share a home, a  business and children and pets, it’s also healthy to spend some time apart and to maintain one’s identity outside of the personal and professional relationship.”

It was wonderful to share my expertise on this topic, as it is one I am hugely passionate about! If you’re interested in it too, check out:
