Podcast: Dr Tim van Wanroij talks about helping his LGBTQ clients and the impact of Intersectionality - Coffee With Your Therapist

I was delighted to talk with on the Coffee With Your Therapist podcast recently, about my LGBTQIA+ clients, as well as the impact intersectionality can have on people and their lives.

We discussed various topics, such as:

  • My journey from The Netherlands to Ireland.

  • How I became interested in Psychology and ended up completing my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology in Trinity College Dublin.

  • How LGBTQIA+ issues impact my clients.

  • How intersectionality impacts people in many ways.

Here is the podcast description:
”Hello and welcome to the Coffee with your Therapist Podcast, the podcast where we talk with people, who have an interest in Mental Health and Wellbeing, about their careers, their work, and the music they like, all in 20 minutes.

I was delighted to talk with Dr Tim van Wanrooij about how he moved from the Netherlands to Ireland and became interested in Psychology, completing his Doctorate in Trinity College.  Tim talks about his interest in LGBTQ issues and Intersectionality and how he finds that they affect his Clients, and how he helps them manage their lives and grow individually.

Tim is an engaging and emphatic speaker and talks how his own life experiences help give him insights into his work with his Clients.

It was a great pleasure to talk with Tim and get his views on life as a Gay and Neurodiverse Man living in Ireland and how he finds it.

Enjoy.”

It was wonderful to feature on this podcast!
